The Joss Administration Building adjacent to the new Albury bypass has been purpose designed to capitalize on its location and cater for the organizational needs of The Joss Group. The offices are elevated above the flood plain and enable under-croft parking. The functional breakup of the floor plan allows the various elements to be articulated externally.
The main entrance with a double height void space achieves an open and appropriately scaled front arrival and presentation area. The angled sides of the elevated building feature a high gloss white composite skin which is articulated against glazing and a silver contoured metal cladding. This external composition evokes a contrast against the relative flatness of the site. Orthogonal fenestration elements including sun screens and signage within the angles provide an instantly noticeable comparison of line and form to occupants of vehicles travelling at high speed on the new freeway.
